1. Safety first: 10 rules of proper science experimentation

1. Wear goggles whenever one of these signs appears;
corrosive is a property of substances like vinegar, lemon juice, acids and alkalis that may
destroy limestone, metals, your clothes, your skin or even your eyes.

 2. Do your experiments in a tray made by cutting a Tetra Pak container.
     Remove any drop of liquid by tissue paper.
 3. Keep your table free of all things not related to your experiment.
 4. Label each vial and dropper bottle with a plaster prior to adding a substance.
 5. Start each experiment by  carefully reading the instructions (or ask somebody to read for you).
 6. Immediately note all observations you have made during the experiment into a copy book.
 7. Never eat or drink while doing an experiment.
8. Never light your micro burner unless you have removed inflammable substances.
  (Even your clothes and hairs can catch fire!)
  9. Always keep your burner on your tray, extinguish the burner directly after use.
10. Point vials away from yourself and others while heating.
