Sharm
El Sheikh
is an the most important
tourist destination on the Sinai peninsula in Egypt bordering Israel.
You can reach Sharm in
5 hours time either by bus from Cairo or by international flight from Europe.
"During the high season,
as many as 1,000 divers a day enjoy the wonders of Sharm El Sheikh´s
reefs, which are among the most spectacular in the world." Divers need
transportation by diving boats. Each day they must also be supplied with
5 kg of compressed air for breathing, with at least 4 litres of fresh water
for drinking. Huge quantities of fresh water are also needed for
showering, washing, cooking and irrigation of flowers, trees and lawn of
hotels and the golf court. A great number people from different nationalities
are resident in Sharm to work for the tourist industry. Many of them are
accompanied by their children.
