.Microscale chemistry experiments with disposable materials (syringes, injection bottles, dropper bottles, plastic pipettes) were first published by El Marsafy. Microscale in this context means the volume range between 5 µl (micro drop) and some ml.1988 he introduced these worldwide available materials into pre-service teacher training at Ain Shams University Cairo. For quantitative experiments the students had to bye two-pan scales, a thermometer and a digital multimeter.
Insulin syringes allow titrations I with an accuracy sufficient even for high schools.
MicrEcol uses the same materials and quantities of matter. It is adjusted to children and younger students.
Even in Kindergarten or at home with their parents the explore their environment (water, air, food, soil, fuel).

For home experimentation of students a written approval of the parents is necessary. So they are responsible for proper supervision. Most of the substances needed are chemicals of the daily life. Even for the microscale experiments prescribed in this homepage all safety precautions must be observed. No experimentation without goggles! Students and other interested readers are welcome to visit the site to learn more about chemistry. Individuals performing the experiments described herein accept full responsibility for all that results directly or indirectly from these activities. The authors shall be absolved of any and all responsibility for the result of activities conducted from information and instructions provided in this website. from information and instructions provided in this website.
