Sulfuric acid produces carbon and vapour from sugar (TEACHER EXPERIMENT) * Left photo: Fill one third of a 4-ml vial with sugar.
* Wet its surface by some micro drops of water.
* Middle photo: Add as much conc. sulfuric acid as the sugar
can absorb.
The mixture gets a black colour.
